Turmeric Trick
A simple, warm drink loaded with anti-inflammatory and metabolism-boosting properties.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until warm (do not boil).
- Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired for sweetness.
- Pour into a mug, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon on top, and enjoy warm.
