Turmeric Trick

A simple, warm drink loaded with anti-inflammatory and metabolism-boosting properties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until warm (do not boil).
  3. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired for sweetness.
  4. Pour into a mug, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon on top, and enjoy warm.
